Dr. Zachary Cassidy began his journey towards Chiropractic at an early age after a sports injury lead him to seeking care. After seeing the benefits of Chiropractic he knew it was something he wanted to do. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in the field of Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, and recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College in 20. At NYCC, in addition to the standard clinical experience, Dr. Cassidy spent his weekends treating athletes of all ages, most notably NCAA division one track and field athletes and Olympic hopefuls. He also was awarded a prestigious and sought after internship with the department of Veterans Affairs, where he treated United States military veterans at the Buffalo VA Medical Centre.
Dr. Cassidy practices conservative and evidence-based treatment methods. He uses flexion distraction, a technique that is efficient in its treatment of low back and neck pain, as well as traditional chiropractic manipulation when necessary. Further he is trained in muscle release techniques and finds these especially beneficial in the treatment of sports injuries and injuries to the extremities. These treatment methods in combination with rehabilitative exercises allow Dr. Cassidy to treat a wide range of injuries and disorders with an emphasis on patient centered care and injury prevention.
